Who we are
Craving The World is an online snack shop based in London. We are the “data controller” for anything you give us through this site. You can reach us at hello@cravingtheworld.com.
What we collect right now
Before the shop opens, the only thing we ask for is the email address you type into the Notify me box, plus the date you signed up. That’s it — no name, no address, no payment details.
Why we collect it
To send you one email when the shop opens (around 17 November 2026). We rely on your consent: you gave it by entering your email and clicking the confirmation link. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
Where it’s kept
This site and its sign-up list are hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.). They store data in the EU and United States under safeguards approved for UK use. We don’t sell your email or share it with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe. If you never buy from us, we’ll delete your email 12 months after the shop opens.
Cookies
This site sets a small number of cookies: ones it needs to work, and WordPress.com’s visitor statistics (anonymous page counts). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. When the shop opens we’ll add a full cookie-choice tool.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, at any time — email hello@cravingtheworld.com and we’ll sort it within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Unsubscribing
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, or just email us and ask.
When the shop opens
This notice will be replaced by a fuller one covering orders, payments, delivery and customer accounts, including the trader’s legal name and address.
